The Yoga Lab

Getting Started
We've designed our studio to be a sanctuary for everyone. Here is everything you need to know before stepping onto your mat for the first time.

What to Wear
Choose comfortable, breathable athletic wear that allows you to move freely. Most students prefer leggings or shorts and a fitted top. We practice barefoot, so no special footwear is needed.

What to Bring
Bring a yoga mat, a reusable water bottle, and an open mind. If you don't have a mat, we offer high-quality rentals at the front desk. Blocks and straps are provided for all classes.

Studio Etiquette
Please arrive 15 minutes early to settle in. We ask that all cell phones be silenced and stored in our lockers. Maintain a quiet tone in the practice space to respect the meditation of others.
Common Questions
I’ve never done yoga before. Is that okay?
Absolutely. Most of our students started exactly where you are. Our beginner-friendly classes are designed to guide you step-by-step in a non-judgmental environment.
What do I need to bring to my first class?
Just yourself, some water, and comfortable clothes you can move in. If you have a mat, bring it along—if not, we have high-quality mats available for rent at the studio.
Do I need to be flexible to practice yoga?
Not at all! You don't need to be flexible to start yoga; you practice yoga to become more flexible. We focus on mindful movement at your own pace.
Which class is best for a complete beginner?
We recommend starting with our 'Yoga Foundations' or 'Slow Flow' classes. They move at a steadier pace with plenty of explanation for each pose.
How early should I arrive?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your first class. This gives us time to show you around the studio, help you get settled, and meet your teacher.
